Queen Camel Quilters
Queen Camel Quilters began in March 2011 following a patchwork and quilting demonstration at the Village Café the previous month. Many of the group had never tried their hand at patchwork and quilting before but are now hugely enthusiastic and eager to learn new techniques and skills.
We meet on the third Tuesday of each month in the Village Hall from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm and enjoy a ‘Pot Luck’ lunch together.
During our first three years we have undertaken a variety of projects including sampler quilts, hexagonal etui boxes, fabric dyeing, disappearing nine-patch quilts and various bags and mats. Once or twice a year we invite a guest tutor to give a workshop and we also arrange visits to nearby patchwork & quilting exhibitions and shows.
We are a friendly and inclusive group and all abilities are very welcome. Even if you've never quilted before, we will be more than happy to help you get started.
Please call Morwenna Ford on 01935 850 300 for more information about this creative and absorbing activity.
