The Queens Arms, Corton Denham
http://www.stagsheadinn.co.uk/ We went there recently and were very happy we did. If you haven't been there lately it is definitely time to give it a go. Friendly service behind the bar and in the restaurant, good food and really nice surroundings. Didn't get to see outside but the photos look good on the website.
The Camelot, South Cadbury
When visiting South Cadbury just pop into The Camelot; it is vibrant, full of village characters, walkers, archaeologists and weary travellers looking for a good meal in warm and pleasant surroundings. An ideal pip stop, especially if you have stretched your legs climbing Cadbury Camp and taken in the panoramic views including Glastonbury Tor, Creech Hill, Alfred's Tower.
The Rose and Crown, Trent
We visited the Rose & Crown just before Christmas and the place was humming, packed with parties, groups and couples, young and old. We thought there would not be room for the two of us, but they squeezed us in and I am so glad we stayed; the atmosphere was fantastic, the food was perfectly yummy and the house wine very good too.
Looking forward to going again.
The Pilgrims, Lovington
The Red Lion, Babcary
Well situated, friendly, lively, good food and lots of comfort. A lovely garden to sit in when warm enough and a welcome break if on the footpath that runs right up to the garden.
