The Front Runner Project

At the Village Meeting in November we explained that Queen Camel had been selected as a 'Front Runner', a government sponsored scheme to trial planning aspects under the new 'Localism Act', and that we now have to produce a Neightbourhood Development Plan using our Development Plan of 2009 as a basis from which to work.

We also explained that an essential requirement was to consult with the local community and that to do this we were going to make a model of the village and to invite everyone to come and have a say on matters that are important to them, not just about the planned building project but about any local matters of concern and how they would like Queen Camel to be both now and looking ahead to 2026.  We want everyone the community to feel a part of this process and to have had the opportunity to participate.

You are, therefore, invited to come to one of the drop-in sessions at the Memorial Hall on:

Saturday       10th March        12 noon to 4.00pm
Thursday      15th March         5.30pm to 9.00pm
Saturday       24th March        12 noon to 4.00pm
Tuesday        27th March        10.30am to 4.00pm

Refreshments of tes, coffee, cakes and biscuits will be available and soup and rolls between 12 noon and 2.00pm (The proceeds from these will be put towards our Jubilee celebrations).

We plan to hold a separate session for young people during the Easter holidays.
