No new blogs for such a long time, just too busy helping with the planning of the Jubilee weekend.
When its all over we shall have lots of eye candy for the website - hopefully

You will be sorry if you missed this event.  There were displays of all sorts of inspiring crafts and talent to be seen, a thriving tombola and cafe and busy cake stall.  Thank you to everyone who attended and to all the stall holders for coming along to fill the hall to its extremities. Pictures will follow (when I have worked out how to download photos from the camera)

We read it on facebook and are very sad to report that the Camelot Music Night team are leaving us for the Davis Hall, West Camel.  This Thursday is their last gig in Queen Camel and on behalf of everyone would just like to say that our loss is West Camels gain and wish you all the best.

The FULL PEAL started at 5.15pm, although I have to confess I did not start listening until 5.45.  I had thought that it would last for a couple of hours, but it went on until 9pm!  Quite a feat to say the least.  There must be some very fit and energetic people hanging about in bell towers to keep the bells ringing for so long and there is no slacking; a campanologist cannot just pop off for a cup of tea or a pint half way through, once you've started you have to keep ringing through to the end.
Congratulations for a job very well done and thank you from all the villagers who enjoyed hearing the bells on that wet Monday night.
If you would like more information on bell ringing in Queen Camel search on this website under Parish Church,
